About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Support Specialist to join our team at MIT Group. As an Internal Sales Advisor, you will play a key role in handling inward sales enquires and providing support to our external sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and process inbound sales calls and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Analyse and distribute sales leads accordingly to ensure maximum conversion rates.
  • Ensure customer enquires are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Raise customer quotations in line with company pricing policy and negotiate sales agreements.
  • Upsell additional products and services where possible to increase revenue.
  • Liaise with external sales team and account managers to develop new business opportunities.
  • Lead generation through proactive outbound sales calls to identify new sales leads.
  • Develop strong internal and customer relationships to drive sales growth.
  • Utilise CRM system to generate sales quotations and track sales performance.
  • Active follow up of all sales quotes to ensure timely closure.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with regular customer updates.
  • Seamless interaction with sales orders team to process customer purchase orders.
  • Report into weekly sales meeting on current market trends and opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on sales performance and opportunities.
  • Positive communication with all internal teams including service, technical, purchasing and finance.
Requirements
  • Passion for sales and a desire to develop a career in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to use Office IT functions such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Experience working with an ERP type system (SAP business system would be preferable but not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Desirables
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Experience in online selling.
  • Knowledge of marine, industrial or construction industries.
