We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Advisor to join our team at Winemark. As a Senior Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maximizing sales and profit, and assisting the Store Manager in all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of product knowledge
  • Assist the Store Manager in sales, security, cash and stock control
  • Control and operate the store in the Store Manager's absence
  • Assist in staff training and development, motivating and encouraging the team to attain sales targets
  • Ensure staff adhere to all Company instructions, policies and procedures
  • Plan and implement changes in promotional activity, administration, and marketing

Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent
  • 1 year previous supervisory experience in a retail or customer-focused environment
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Customer Service or Retail Operations or equivalent
  • WSET Level 1 Wine Certificate; Level 2 also preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to solve problems and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Leadership qualities and ability to lead a team of people in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Previous experience of an EPOS system and cash handling
  • Previous experience of stock handling and control
