Your expertise will guide our locations in environmental matters, including reporting and permit management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies for all 6 sites, aligning with business, corporate, and regulatory needs.
* Manage environmental legal activities, permits, assessments, and documentation to verify compliance performance.
* Perform environmental inspections and assess requirements of the PPG EHS MS (Waste, air, water discharge).
* Assess risks related to divestitures or acquisitions with the UK&I EHS Country Manager.
* Coordinate environmental measurements to comply with local regulations and operating permits.
* Provide environmental training for locations on legislation and PPG Environmental MS topics.
* Prepare locations for government agency inspections and coordinate follow-up action plans.
* Oversee, obtain, and review environmental permits and consents for locations.
* Identify emerging environmental issues at locations.
* Assist sites in projects with environmental risks.
* Lead root cause analysis for environmental incidents.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or advanced degree in environment or chemistry or a related science with over 5 years experience.
* Working knowledge of UK and Ireland environmental regulations (British and European).
* Knowledge of waste packaging reporting requirements, EPR, SECR reporting, COMAH Report, and other relevant regulations.
* Working knowledge of COMAH sites/chemical manufacturing (advantage).
