We have exciting permanent positions available for qualified Senior Project Managers to become integral members of our Technical Communities in the South West of England. Your expertise will be vital in advancing the major infrastructure project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) focused on specific HPC sub-areas, ensuring delivery aligns with established Safety, Quality, Time, and Cost objectives.
  • Assemble a diverse team with complementary skills and experiences.
  • Collaborate with HPC Area Delivery Teams to clearly define the work scope for contracts.
  • Clarify priorities to support the L4 schedule, driven by site installation, ensuring alignment across the MEH Programme, including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Coordinate with other Programmes (Civils, Equipment, Commissioning) to achieve key interface milestones that facilitate MEH schedule delivery.
  • Establish necessary elements of Task Orders for the MEH Installation Contract and maintain an appropriate Master Data and Assumption Log (MDAL).
  • Work alongside the MEH Area Construction Lead to ensure pre-construction readiness, confirming availability of design, materials, and temporary works.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of Field Changes (FCRs), Non-Conformances (NCRs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other delivery constraints.
  • Conduct monthly Project Reviews and Performance Analyses for your designated area.
  • Oversee all Contract Administration through CEMAR, including Task Order establishment, query resolution, and timely discharge of Client obligations.
  • Lead compliance activities with HPC Project Governance, including Change Control progression as needed.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in delivering projects within complex and dynamic environments, with a strong emphasis on safety, security, and environmental responsibility, preferably in the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated fields.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing engineering design, contract execution strategies, and multi-discipline EPCM projects.
  • Strong leadership capabilities encompassing project management, financial oversight, change management, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing contractors and consultants throughout large-scale construction projects in regulated environments, including familiarity with NEC and FIDIC contracts.
  • Understanding of EPR design and construction is advantageous.
  • A degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics, or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Solid knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, including APM and OGC's Prince 2.
  • Experience managing projects through their lifecycle from concept to handover.
  • Understanding of nuclear quality assurance and control processes.
  • Ability to apply a graded approach to quality management.
