Knauf, a global leader in construction materials, is seeking a talented Digital Automation Engineer to join our Sustainability team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation and improving operational efficiency across our 300 sites worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with local plant teams to implement best-in-class software and hardware solutions for production lines, ensuring optimal product quality and efficiency.
  • Support plants in resolving operational issues with digital control systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Work closely with our Artificial Intelligence and Data Science teams to develop and maintain vision and control system software, leveraging modern digital technologies to drive innovation.
  • Integrate proposed automation solutions with running production lines, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Develop proof-of-concept for proposed automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in PLC programming, SCADA programming, and control loop optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of latest PLC and SCADA software systems, with a focus on manufacturing plant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
  • Fluency in English, with additional European languages an asset.
