About the Role

As a Global Travel Operations Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless travel experiences for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring global events and their potential impact on our customers and business operations. You'll be the go-to person during emergencies and crises, providing calm and effective solutions to navigate challenging situations.

Your expertise will extend to managing complex itineraries involving multiple flights, hotels, and other travel arrangements. You'll proactively communicate operational changes to our Travel Counsellors before departure, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared to assist clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously assess global events and their implications for our customers and business.
  • Provide expert guidance and support during emergency and crisis situations worldwide.
  • Develop creative solutions to address travel disruptions and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Amend complex itineraries involving flights, hotels, and other travel components.
  • Communicate operational updates to Travel Counsellors regarding booking changes.
  • Proactively gather information from direct contracts and suppliers, fostering strong relationships.
  • Utilize fare rules expertise to process voluntary flight changes, including IT, consolidated, and published tickets.
  • Manage involuntary flight schedule changes and assist Travel Counsellors with amendments or cancellations of affected ground components.
  • Issue new flight tickets outside of standard business hours.
  • Obtain rates and check availability through our in-house Phoenix booking system.
  • Provide quotes for amendments and cancellations related to package bookings and individually quoted ground components (e.g., hotel transfers, car hire).
