Arup is a global leader in engineering and consulting, and we're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Energy, Water and Resources portfolio. As a key member of our mechanical team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that benefit society, industry, and the environment.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in water engineering, systems, and processes. You'll have the opportunity to lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment from concept through to detailed design, and work with multidisciplinary teams on projects that may include:

  • Water & wastewater treatment and supply for UK water sector AMP7 and AMP8 Frameworks
  • Flood alleviation projects on the Environment Agency Capital Delivery Framework
  • Hydro power, pumped storage, dams, and reservoirs
  • Industrial water and process systems and industrial decarbonisation
