About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide programme management support and coordination for the Immunisation Programmes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans at a whole-system level
  • Work collaboratively across the Directorate, Health and Social Care Partnerships, and wider NHS and partner organizations to support the delivery of programme objectives
  • Interpret national policy and strategy, translating these into local delivery plans, performance metrics, and reporting profiles
  • Build upon established cross-system relationships to explore opportunities that further programme deliverables
  • Support the management and coordination of programme work streams
  • Work collaboratively across services and health and social care organizations, and with statutory and non-statutory partner organizations, to ensure plans are integrated both internally and externally

Requirements

  • Education: Degree level or equivalent
  • Management or Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2)
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile diverse projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in dealing directly with stakeholders and customers
  • Up-to-date awareness of NHS national and local eHealth and business initiatives
  • Effective project and action planning skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload and that of others
  • Sound and creative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentational)
  • Experienced negotiator/facilitator with the ability to influence others
  • Understanding of Data Protection and IT security principles
  • Ability to manage and understand financial information
  • Highly motivated, assertive, and confident, with drive and enthusiasm
  • Highly IT literate
  • Strong Leadership and team-working skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience delivering vaccination programmes or services
  • Knowledge of vaccination services or programmes

Contract Type

Fixed Term or Secondment for 18 months

Full-time

37 hours

Please note that this is a fixed-term post for 18 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters

The working pattern for this role will be Monday-Friday, hours
