Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker

Medsolve is seeking an experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in South Normanton. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of our children are met consistently to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver therapeutic caregiving under the direction of the management team.
  • Model relationship-based caregiving in all interactions with children and young people.
  • Establish caring, secure relationships with children that allow them to feel safe, develop trust in adults, and confidence in themselves.
  • Implement admission protocols to ensure children feel welcomed and fully informed about their care.
  • Work closely with children and young people to ascertain their wishes and feelings about their welfare and record and act upon this in their interest.
Leadership and Management:
  • Implement policies, procedures, and practices regarding safeguarding and child protection.
  • Deliver the Services' approach to childcare.
  • Engage in probation, induction, supervision, staff meetings, learning and development, and appraisal.
  • Model professional conduct in all aspects of the role.
  • Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and other professionals to meet children's needs and interests.
Requirements:
  • Experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Ability to work on a shift pattern, including days, evenings, waking nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleeping-in duties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people.
