Job Title: Environmental and Compliance Manager

A leading waste management company is seeking an experienced Environmental and Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that is committed to innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the assessment and management of environmental compliance across the business, including routine site monitoring and audits.
  • Provide environmental advice and assistance to other departments, including customer services, sales, operations, and transport teams.
  • Compile and submit quarterly waste returns to regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, update, and review ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems to drive best practice and ensure legal compliance.
  • Lead the development and delivery of internal environmental initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training resources to ensure an understanding of environmental risk, compliance, and associated legislation.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in an environmental role, preferably in waste or a permitted industry.
  • Ability to interpret waste characterisation or soil contamination analyses.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

This role requires someone with the ability to influence situations on sites across a region and lead scenarios and processes.
