About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting services to a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage client accounts, including financial statements and tax returns
  • Act as a client manager, responsible for a portfolio of clients and providing excellent customer service
  • Work closely with the accounts team to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a practice environment, handling accounts for a wide range of clients
  • Strong IT and technical skills, with experience in accounts software, specifically Xero
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and support them on a wide range of accountancy queries
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary between £30,000 and £36,000, dependent on experience. You will also have access to a company-wide benefits package, including flexible working options, hybrid and work-from-home options, an excellent study support package, and a generous study leave allowance.
