Job Title: Production Manager

Omega is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in the Bedford & Milton Keynes area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and productivity across our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to our production team, ensuring effective execution of production plans and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement long-term efficiency improvement plans, driving cost savings and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure asset reliability and adherence to planned maintenance.
  • Direct line management of production team members, including performance management, absence management, and reporting.
  • Own production plans for short- and long-term planning, using operational metrics to identify and analyze root cause issues.
  • Develop and drive strategies for process optimization, cost reduction, and meeting production targets.
  • Ensure the effective running of the Production function on a day-to-day basis, delivering the site's Production Plan in line with Group initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing large manufacturing operations, with a focus on driving performance and efficiency.
  • A natural leader with a history of inspiring teams and a commitment to safety and quality, undergoing cultural transformation.
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of production logistics, supply management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in the Complex Manufacturing/Food and Drink Manufacturing/FMCG related industry, with experience in TPM, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools.
  • Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving, and team building.
