Director of Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance team. As a key member of our Global Safety organization, you will be responsible for defining and driving the strategy and vision of clinical safety and pharmacovigilance activities in alignment with our Global Safety business strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Implement policy, processes, and support the implementation of operational and strategic plans to ensure scientifically sound review and interpretation of data and management of safety issues.
- Ensure the effective management of safety issues and escalates safety issues identified through the safety review process to senior management and safety governance as appropriate.
- Focus on efficiency and effectiveness to meet the needs of our patients and healthcare professionals.
- Support the pharmacovigilance and benefit-risk management of our assigned portfolio of global assets to ensure patient safety globally.
- Expertise in clinical safety and pharmacovigilance activities.
- Demonstrated record of sound judgment and decision making in safety evidence generation, benefit-risk assessment, causality assessment, evaluation of safety signals, and proactive risk management strategies.
- Coaching and mentoring experience in signal evaluation methodology and risk management.
- Strong analytical skills, proactive approach in drug safety, and high sense of urgency.
- Leadership experience in cross-functional teams and ability to drive change until implementation.
- Comprehensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry working in drug safety or pharmacovigilance.
- Significant pharmacovigilance experience relating to safety evaluation and risk management, encompassing both clinical development and post-marketing activities.
- Knowledge/experience of international pharmacovigilance requirements.
