**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Apprentice to join our team at Imerys. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills to maximize plant and equipment availability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.
- Fault finding, diagnostic and installation work to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Carry out Risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ordering site spares to ensure that all necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
- Working from height and in confined spaces to perform maintenance tasks in challenging environments.

Requirements:
- Background from within a production/ heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment.
- Experience of working with/ on pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work and centrifuges is essential.
- Apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is required.
- Strong HSE ethos is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Proficient in the use of IT to access and manage systems and data.
- Legally be able to drive in the UK to ensure you can travel to work safely.
