Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at Imerys. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a small team and taking ownership of site maintenance, ensuring maximum plant and equipment availability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostic, and installation work to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring all work areas are clean and free from hazards.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Background in production or heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment.
  • Experience with pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work, and centrifuges is essential.
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize tasks.
