Job Summary:

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Poole, Dorset. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Hot-Pie and Sausage production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Machinery: Safely and effectively operate production line machinery to produce high-quality sausage rolls and hot pies.
  • Hazard Analysis: Identify and assess potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks to maintain our high standards and ensure our products are the best they can be.
  • Paperwork: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including production logs and quality control documents.
  • Critical Control Points (CCPs): Understand and monitor CCPs to ensure food safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Physical Labour: Be prepared for labour-intensive work, including lifting items up to 25kg.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within food production is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Machine Operation: Be able to change over the machinery during product change-overs on the production lines.
  • Product Sampling: Record and check product samples correctly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25kg and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Hazard Analysis: Understanding of hazard analysis and critical control points (CCPs).
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Paperwork Skills: Basic paperwork and record-keeping skills.
  • Teamwork: Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with us.
  • Shift Pattern: Be able to work a 12 hour, 3 on 3 off Shift pattern.
