Consultant Doctor - Stroke Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Doctor to join our team in Stroke Medicine at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Doctor to lead and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care in Stroke Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our stroke services, including the management of acute stroke patients and the development of rehabilitation programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Stroke Medicine, with experience in managing complex stroke cases and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and contribute to the development of stroke services, including the management of acute stroke patients and the development of rehabilitation programs.
  2. Provide high-quality patient care, including the assessment, diagnosis, and management of stroke patients.
  3. Develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
  4. Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement projects.
