Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at LINKS RECRUITMENT GROUP. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing breakdown service to production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out a programme of planned maintenance on plant and production machinery to ensure they are available for production in a safe and efficient condition.
  • Support the Engineering Supervisor with the continual development and improvement of facilities and services available to the business.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  • Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  • Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
  • Ensure general building and facilities maintenance is carried out.
  • Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
  • Work closely with other internal departments.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in an engineering-related subject, or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Multi-skilled with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform both proactive and reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
  • IOSH working safely/ managing safely is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally, you will have PLC experience specifically, Siemens S7/Mitsubishi.
  • Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical, and P&I drawings.
