Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transition Consultant to join our esteemed Pension Risk Transfer division.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate reconciliation of scheme member data and the proper recording of secured benefits, facilitating effective administration of all schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate scheme benefits and data to formulate legal agreements that enable the proper administration of benefits by the Client Services team.
  • Guarantee that all teams within the Pension Risk Transfer division possess the correct benefit specifications and data, ensuring customers receive their rightful entitlements and schemes are accurately funded.
  • Oversee the progress of assigned schemes, conducting regular reviews, and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to customer inquiries while providing relevant information both internally and externally.
  • Assist the new business origination team and Transition Managers by offering insights on administrative capabilities and participating in site visits to assess data quality prior to transactions.
  • Ensure timely communication and maintain a comprehensive audit trail of all benefit and data items throughout the onboarding process.
  • Keep all internal stakeholders and relevant third parties informed promptly about any critical information affecting their processing to ensure fair treatment of the end customer.
  • Provide customers with tailored information to help them understand communications, including any necessary actions or when further support may be needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a Pension Qualification such as CII or PMI (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of pension regulations for Defined Benefit schemes, particularly regarding de-risking processes (essential).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the structure and administration of benefits in Defined Benefit schemes (essential).
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Capability to deliver accurate and cost-effective services by ensuring first-time accuracy.
  • Strong awareness of the risks faced by the team and a proactive approach to mitigating these risks.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with project management experience being highly advantageous.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with the ability to foster and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including policyholders, scheme members, regulatory bodies, third parties, and colleagues.
