Nxtgen Recruitment is seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to support the finance function of a dynamic and expanding law firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Account Management: Manage client accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with SRA rules.
  • Financial Processing: Process and reconcile payments, receipts, and transfers, handling daily banking and allocating funds.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, maintaining accuracy in all tax matters.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with fee earners and other departments to resolve financial queries, supporting the finance team with audits and financial analysis as required.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a similar Legal Cashier role, with a strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), proficiency in legal accounting software, and excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
