Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist / Commodity Manager

Location: Hybrid - Remote Work Arrangement

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist / Commodity Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading critical procurement initiatives, negotiating contracts, and cultivating robust supplier relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned procurement professional to shape the future of sustainable procurement in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute negotiations, define awarding strategy, and prepare sourcing board approvals to secure optimal contracts.
  • Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts with suppliers, ensuring alignment with evolving customer needs.
  • Contribute to the development of commodity strategies and business listings of preferred suppliers.
  • Manage relationships with assigned suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Support and maintain supplier segmentation of the relevant supply base, representing the customer view in commodity circles.
  • Analyze local and regional market trends and their utilization in commodity strategy.
  • Identify customer requirements and support the execution process, providing input into the sourcing process.
  • Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant customers about this performance.
  • Generate, document, and implement savings measures, monitoring and reporting relevant KPIs.
  • Drive early procurement/supplier involvement and cost-out activities.
  • Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures.
  • Implement commodity strategies and define local/regional material field strategy for non-pooled commodities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management.
  • Outstanding Excel skills.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
  • Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management competence.
  • Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality.
  • Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a matrix environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree.
