Adult Social Care Policy Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Team Leader to join our Specialist Palliative Care Services team at Bassetlaw Hospice in Retford. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the clinical teams working across the service, ensuring the safe running of the inpatient unit, and developing our services to meet the needs of our local population.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within our Specialist Palliative Care Services. As Clinical Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the clinical teams working across the service, including the day-to-day oversight of clinical staff and the safe running of the inpatient unit.
- Developing our services to meet the needs of our local population, including the introduction of new initiatives and the improvement of existing services.
- Working closely with the Head of Service and other senior leaders to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
- Providing operational direction to the senior nursing team and medical staff, and ensuring the smooth running of the unit.
- Leading the vision for developing inpatient specialist palliative care services as the Hospice goes through a period of change and ongoing expansion of services.
- Using evidence-based practice and own skills and knowledge to introduce improvements and support staff training and development.
- Undertaking and critically analysing audits, and providing management of incidents, clinical governance, staff development, and assurance for the inpatient unit.
- Maintaining the relationship between Notts Healthcare and the Hospice Charitable Trust, and promoting opportunities to fundraise and support the charity.
