Mortgage Specialist

The Mortgage Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering services to HSBC clients during significant life events, such as purchasing their first home or undertaking home renovations. This role is primarily conducted within our branch environment.

As a specialist, you will focus on expanding our mortgage and protection offerings while providing expert advice to both new and existing clients. A key aspect of this position is ensuring a high-quality, customer-centric service by accurately identifying client needs for mortgage and related protection products and delivering tailored advice and solutions.

In this position, you will:
  • Offer a flexible and responsive service to clients, accommodating their preferred communication channels
  • Engage with clients to discern and comprehend their current and future mortgage and protection requirements, assisting them in securing a mortgage package that is customized to their unique situation
  • Acknowledge the broader financial planning needs of individual clients and refer them to other bank departments where appropriate
  • Actively cultivate and enhance client relationships, thereby responsibly generating new business opportunities
  • Uphold the principles of Treating Customers Fairly in all interactions
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside of your immediate team
Qualifications
  • You must possess RO1 / CF1 and CF6 (or CeMAP or equivalent) certifications
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Proactively seek and foster effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrate a history of adhering to business processes, rules, and regulations
  • Have a proven track record in the Mortgage and Lending sector
  • Be open to flexible working hours to support operational needs
