Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team on a contractual basis.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Contract Type: PAYE via Umbrella solution
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee the effective daily management of partner and supplier relationships at all levels. Contribute to the operational performance and strategic direction of partners and suppliers. Ensure the effective implementation of the Supplier Engagement Model within the role's scope.
- Cost Management: Manage cost performance of designated supply chains in alignment with business and customer needs. Drive long-term cost improvements across relevant activities, leveraging cost reductions within the commodity/category scope.
- Strategic Development: Formulate, implement, and communicate relevant commodity/category/supplier strategies, providing a clear vision and strategic framework for designated supply chains.
- Compliance and Procedures: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining accurate purchasing records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead the commodity teams, ensuring adequate resourcing, training, and capability to achieve success.
- Additional Responsibilities: Act as a deputy for the Head of Direct/Indirect Procurement as needed, representing the organization with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in planning and executing sourcing and commercial activities to maximize value within the commodity teams.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Understanding of supply chains and the development of effective supply chain strategies.
- Ability to motivate and lead high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with Single Source Contract Regulations.
- Ability to cultivate effective relationships with various stakeholders to align functional priorities.
- Experience in selecting supply chains that meet quality and delivery standards.
- Accountable for driving delivery performance and resolving performance-related issues.
- Responsible for defining, agreeing, and executing improvement plans as necessary.
Security Clearance:
This position requires the candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any restrictions. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be UK nationals or, in approved cases, dual nationals from non-ITAR countries.
