Job Title: Regional Fundraiser - West Wales

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Fundraiser to join our team in West Wales. As a Regional Fundraiser, you will be responsible for raising awareness and funds for our charity, 2 Wish, in the West Wales region.

About 2 Wish

2 Wish is a charity that provides support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help raise awareness of 2 Wish and our work in West Wales
  • Work alongside our support team in Wales to build on our reputation
  • Research, approach, and engage community groups and local supporters to develop additional sources of income
  • Liaise with the public in West Wales who are fundraising for 2 Wish
  • Support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
  • Attend community and networking events where necessary
  • Participate in financial planning for West Wales, as a business unit, during regular fundraising meetings
  • Submit an annual business plan and budgets for the West Wales fundraising team
  • Submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets

  • Be responsible for organising your own work agenda, time management, and administration
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in accordance with our policies
  • Work as part of a team
  • Attend meetings as necessary - both virtually and in person
  • Show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
  • Undertake training to update your skills as necessary
  • Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring processes to ensure effectiveness of services and activities provided
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures with regards to working off site

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Part-time, 30 hours per week will be considered for the right candidate. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

This post is predominantly home-based, with regular travel across West Wales and some travel to our Head Office in South Wales.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2 Wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2 Wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with its auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2 Wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
