Advanced Social Work Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our team in Enfield Council. As a key member of our social care team, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of children and families, providing high-quality social work services that make a real difference to their lives. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing and implementing effective plans to ensure their safety and well-being, and working closely with other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of children and their families to identify their needs and develop effective plans to address them.
- Work closely with other professionals, including foster carers, health services, and education providers, to ensure that children receive the support they need.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote the safety and well-being of children, including providing support and guidance to families.
- Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure that children's needs are met and that they receive the best possible support.
- Provide high-quality supervision and support to less experienced social workers and students.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England.
- At least 2 years of experience in social work, preferably in a child care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and other professionals.
- Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans to address the needs of children and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
