Position Overview:
The HR Operations and Case Management Lead plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional HR services throughout the employee lifecycle at JNCC Support Co. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all HR operations are executed with precision and in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing a diverse portfolio of employment relations cases, such as attendance management and probationary support, while assisting HR Business Partners with intricate casework and meeting preparations.
  • Leading a small operational HR team, ensuring equitable distribution of workloads and fostering professional development among team members.
  • Providing guidance on escalated HR inquiries related to recruitment, terms and conditions, and policy adherence.
  • Monitoring team performance against established milestones to guarantee a high standard of service delivery, while proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Reviewing and enhancing HR processes and templates to promote continuous improvement and compliance with evolving employment legislation.
  • Ensuring the effective utilization of HR information systems and management reporting tools, maintaining data accuracy.
  • Managing internal payroll administration, ensuring timely processing and rectification of errors, and liaising with outsourced payroll services.
  • Coordinating audit activities, compiling relevant data, and implementing recommendations as necessary.
  • Administering employee benefits programs, including the Cycle Scheme and childcare vouchers.
  • Acting as the HR budget holder.
  • Facilitating recruitment efforts by collaborating with vacancy managers to provide strategic advice and flexible solutions.
  • Supporting various HR routine tasks and project initiatives as required.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A CIPD qualification (Level 5) or a commitment to obtain it.
  • A comprehensive understanding of HR policies and current UK employment law.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and HR information systems.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all matters.

Experience:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in a dynamic HR environment, providing professional support across the employee lifecycle.
  • A proven track record in managing and resolving various HR casework, including disciplinary actions and performance management.
  • Demonstrated line management experience or relevant behaviors.
