About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team at oilandgas, where you will play a key role in supporting the Shell Energy business working in projects for Trading, focusing on trading activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Analysis: Identify and document business requirements, working with business, IT stakeholders, and technical teams to determine feasible solution options.
  2. Process Improvement: Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  3. Technical Solutions: Link technical solutions with business strategy when working with business partners.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience as Business Analyst preferably in Energy Trading industries.
  2. Commodity Trade Lifecycle: Commodity trade lifecycle experience in the energy markets.
  3. Business Problem Solving: Responsible for capturing business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements.
  4. Front Office: Front Office - pricing, P&L, and exposure management.
  5. Middle Office: Middle Office - Market Risk and Risk Valuation.
  6. Back-Office: Back-Office - Confirmations and Settlements processes and/or accounting processes.
  7. Data Analytics: Data analytics experience from both a technical and business perspective.
