Job Title: Divisional Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Finance Manager to join our team at Vesta Software Group UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the finance function across a selection of Vesta Software Group companies.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Producing timely and reliable monthly management accounts for a selection of Vesta companies.
  • Identifying and investigating variances against benchmarks, providing analysis of differences, and exploring potential problems with non-financial department heads.
  • Leading various projects, including process and system improvements.
  • Updating Excel-based reconciliation/support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Preparing periodic financial statements and supporting schedules, tax computations, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers, advising on the business impact, and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Involvement in ongoing process development and transformation projects to improve business efficiency and profitability.
  • Capturing data and analysis to provide support to business decision-making.
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns and Corporation tax packs.
  • Supporting/assisting with acquisition-related activity, including integration of people, systems, and processes, and acquisition accounting entries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Proven experience in building effective teams and culture.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferable.
  • Project management skills are preferable.
  • Experience in software or high-tech industry would be preferable.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work towards deadlines with limited supervision.
