About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Electrical and Mechanical Service Specialist to join our team at Etex. As a key member of our site operations, you will be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and reliable electrical and mechanical service to all departments across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process to cover all equipment across the site, including defining and standardizing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP).
  • Participate in proactive equipment reliability plans to reduce failures and minimize their effects.
  • Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies, such as 8D, 7-Step Chronic Problem Solving, EWOs, 5why, and 5G.
  • Support cost-effective project participation and contribute to the improvement of production-related assets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including shift reports and updating departmental 'InfoHub' boards.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and develop strong working relationships using various platforms, such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Operate a dual role system to maintain a world-class standard for first-line response to plant breakdowns.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or experience within a reliability and maintenance time-served apprenticeship.
  • Electrical and mechanical work experience.
  • PLC knowledge, preferably Siemens S7.
  • High-level knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance and proactive applications.
  • Portable Appliance Testing skill is advantageous.
  • Ability to diagnose root causes and identify solutions.
  • Strong work ethic with a high commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to prioritize, analyze problems quickly, and maintain positive working relationships.
