Urology Department Administrator

The Urology department at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced administrator to fill a 12-month fixed-term contract as a Team Leader for the secretarial and clerical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative support to one of our busy Urology Consultant Surgeons, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure the operation of an efficient and effective secretarial service that meets the needs of the department.
- Provide secretarial support across the service and to the Consultant Urologists, including responsibility for a specific clinical workload.
- Liaise with the Medway Corporate Applications team to escalate clinic build issues, complete change forms, and coordinate clinic changes.
- Assist in the induction of new consultants and junior medical staff, coordinating initial induction, requesting IT access, and providing training in DocGen and other systems.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for the admin team, liaising with the General Manager and HR on the appointment of staff.
- Take responsibility for the induction, training, and ongoing support of new team members.
- Monitor and maintain records of sickness and annual leave for staff within the admin team.
