We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Controller to join our team at Dornan. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive and store materials, plant hire, and ensure secure storage
* Reconcile quantities with supervisors and vendors
* Adhere to Quality management systems and ensure document control
* Assist in arranging transport and prompt action requests
* Conduct physical inventory control and verification of material usage
* Propose and dispose of surplus/scrap material at facility location
* Prepare, monitor, and update Material Tracking Schedule
* Collaborate with Planning Engineer to ensure materials are available as per plan
* Coordinate with Material Engineer and Procurement Department for material submittal
* Plan with Procurement Department to minimize inventory and prepare Monthly Materials Reports
* Expedite supplier delivery
* Monitor Stores function and Storekeepers
* Regularly update Quantity Surveyor on materials required to complete the project
* Ensure correct quantity and cost are debited to items in CCS/SAP system
* Accurately back charge subcontractors and suppliers
* Provide correct data to Commercial Dept. for calculation of quantity and cost to complete budget items

Requirements

* Previous experience in stores or logistics, ideally in construction industry
* Previous supervisory skills desirable
* Proficient with MS Office and various computer software
* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Excellent at building relationships at all levels to ensure communication flow
