We are seeking a Country Financial Controller to collaborate with the Commercial Country Leader and Regional Controller, overseeing the financial operations of the designated regions (UK & Ireland) with complete accountability for the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
This position will serve as a vital business partner to both commercial and financial leadership, ensuring adherence to all pertinent internal and external financial regulations, promoting compliant financial management, and supervising all value-generating initiatives (including incentive plans, recruitment, payroll, etc.) within the country scope.
This role can be performed from various locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience in a comparable fast-paced position within a corporate setting (experience in medtech is a plus).
- Proven financial influencing capabilities at the management level, with a history of effective business partnering and driving transformation among peers and leaders.
- Expertise in managing large datasets and conducting tool-driven data analysis. Proficient in Excel, with experience in data-cube systems (such as Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.).
- Strong background in accounting and compliance.
- Driven, inquisitive, and focused on process enhancement.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a matrix organization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and execution of all Local Business Engagement (LBE) commitments throughout the year, ensuring robust operational discipline for all finance-related processes across the organization.
- Guarantee complete financial compliance across all activities within the scope.
- Identify data requirements to support decision-making and effectively partner with commercial leadership.
- Deliver ongoing standard analyses at all levels of the P&L, focusing on revenue, margins, and operating expenses. Formulate mitigation strategies as necessary to address risks.
- Proactively explore new perspectives on results and commitments. Collaborate closely with the regional leadership team to drive value creation through Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) efforts and identify specific projects with the leadership team to enhance value creation.
- Take ownership of all tasks that directly impact the P&L and engage experts across various groups and functions to support their understanding.
