About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support in managing their behaviour and emotional well-being, helping them to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to students with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to develop coping strategies and positive behaviours.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, adapting strategies as needed to meet individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management plans tailored to individual students, working closely with external professionals as required.
  • Monitor and record student progress, using data to inform future support strategies and ensure students are meeting their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture, supporting the school's ethos and values, and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
About You
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them overcome challenges.
  • Experience working in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards challenging behaviours, with a commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques is a plus, but not essential.
