A Behaviour Mentor is required to support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs in a fantastic school in London.

This role is ideal for a candidate who understands the challenges faced by young people today and is passionate about contributing to their personal and academic development.

The successful applicant will have experience working with children or young adults with special education needs and will be able to use their initiative to meet the needs of each student.

The school prides itself on having a carefully planned curriculum and offers a supportive and encouraging ethos.

The Behaviour Mentor will work closely with other staff and parents to bring about positive change for each child and will be able to use their creativity and problem-solving skills to support pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with situations calmly and sensitively
  • Be creative and 'think outside of the box' in their approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Care deeply about pupils' academic, emotional, and personal development and have empathy for their individual circumstances
  • Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and to motivate students
  • Be confident in working closely with other staff and parents to bring about positive change for each child
  • Be able to use their initiative in meeting the needs of the student, depending on their individual communication, and learning skills
