Job Title: Food Product Developer

ASR Group, the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, is seeking a skilled Food Product Developer to join our team. As a leader in new product innovation, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and project managing new products within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and design new products, conduct experiments, gather data, and develop preliminary findings to drive innovation and cost savings.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with others to overcome project barriers and recommend solutions.
  • Lead and direct the work of other scientists to achieve their primary responsibility of formulating new products.
  • Support the development of pilot plant processes, systems, and technologies by staying informed of new and existing equipment, approaches, and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience of analytical and physical testing methodologies within the food industry, such as moisture, colour, rheology, and spectroscopy.
  • Experience in formulation and product development from the bench to scale up.
  • Ability to communicate and present project updates and risks to R&D leadership.
  • BSc. or MSc. in Food Science or related technology/engineering field is essential.
  • Preferred Systems knowledge – Genesis or Compusense Sensory or SAP PLM.
