Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Plumber)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in plumbing and heating systems to join our team at HMP The Verne, a category C adult male prison.

About the Role:
  • Work on commercial and industrial heating and water systems
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the prison's facilities
Requirements:
  • Two years' experience in a plumbing or equivalent role
  • Relevant qualifications, including C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating, C&G 5962 certificate in Plumbing (Advanced craft), and C&G 6019 Mechanical Engineering services (plumbing)
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
