About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Manager to join our team at NOV Inc. in Aberdeen. As a key member of our Corporate Tax Department, you will be responsible for overseeing UK tax functions and ensuring timely completion of UK corporation tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • UK Corporate Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns and computations, including double tax relief claims, rollover/holdover claims, group relief claims, patent box and research and development claims, corporate interest restriction calculations, etc.
  • VAT Management: Assist with the UK VAT group maintenance, monthly VAT return process, and act as a point of contact for VAT queries.
  • UK Corporate Tax Administration: Prepare estimates to support QIPs, calculate and arrange for re-allocation/repayment of QIP overpayments, manage the UK group's GPA, and ensure accurate and timely completion of UK corporation tax returns.
  • US GAAP Reporting: Prepare and assist the wider Finance team with quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements.
  • HMRC Correspondence: Prepare ad-hoc correspondence with HMRC.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and develop more junior members of staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified CA/CTA (essential)
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent technical knowledge within UK corporate tax (essential)
  • Experience: Previous experience in working in a company with multi-jurisdictional concerns, or within an accountancy firm dealing with cross-border issues (essential)
  • Additional Skills: UK VAT knowledge (desirable), Tax software knowledge - Onesource (desirable)
