The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our planning function, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Mace's value of safety first and lead by example in maintaining exceptional safety standards.
  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.
  • Lead the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.
  • Apply specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques, and tools to deliver medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
  • Provide effective and timely advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage large data sets into simple reporting formats through coding and layout manipulation.
  • Implement planning principles within the project management community.
  • Work with a large range of stakeholders to deliver complex infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Exposure to working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large-scale civil engineering/infrastructure projects for a tier 1 contractor or a client-side consultancy.
  • Construction-related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
  • Digitally savvy and able to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
  • Experience of working on large projects/programmes and mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
  • Familiarisation with P6 EPPM (Web) and P6 configuration management.
  • Ability to manage large data sets and implement planning principles within the project management community.
