About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Personalized Support: Work closely with SEN students, both individually and in small groups, to deliver personalized lessons and support.
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans: Assist in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Support Students with Special Needs: Support students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities through various learning activities.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience Working with SEN Students: Previous experience working with SEN children or teenagers in an educational setting.
  • Delivering 1-to-1 Support: Comfortable delivering 1-to-1 support, small group sessions, and individualized lessons.
  • Knowledge of SEN Conditions: Knowledge of and experience with a variety of SEN conditions and strategies to support individual learning needs.
  • Relevant Training: Relevant training in SEN support, such as Team Teach, Makaton, or Autism Awareness, is desirable.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and empathy to effectively engage with SEN students and build positive relationships.
