Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Cutter Grinder Specialist to join our team at Cummins Inc. in the Power Systems Business Segment. This is a permanent contract position working 36 hours per week on a three-rotational shift pattern.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety by promptly reporting hazards and complying with health and safety standards. You will also promote environmental responsibility by recognizing and minimizing the environmental impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety by reporting hazards and complying with health and safety standards.
  • Promote environmental responsibility by minimizing the environmental impact of your work.
  • Maintain quality standards by following quality procedures and performing inspections.
  • Optimize production by operating equipment proficiently and achieving production goals.
  • Mentor team members by instructing and coaching less experienced team members.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and identifying repair needs.
  • Foster teamwork by effective communication and collaboration with your team and support staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement by actively participating in initiatives to improve quality, safety, and processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Accountability and commitment to meet commitments and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Health and safety awareness to champion proactive health and safety behaviors and identify and report hazards.
  • Manufacturing expertise to demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications.
  • Flexibility and teamwork to support shift work and communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
