Position: CNC Machine Setter / Operator

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Punch Press Operator to join our dynamic team. This permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday, 08:00 to 13:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Punch Press machinery.
  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Press Brake equipment.
  • Identifying and reporting defects or shortages in raw materials and components that may hinder production.
  • Selecting the appropriate tooling for each task.
  • Recognizing and reporting opportunities to minimize production costs and timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of work processes in line with the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Ensuring high standards of housekeeping in both machinery and work areas.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CNC programmer, setter, and operator, particularly with Amada Vipros and HFT machinery.
  • Familiarity with Amada software is advantageous.
  • Experience in fabricating thin sheet metal, such as 0.9-3mm stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or practical experience in a related role.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using IT and computer systems.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development training as needed.
