Materials Handling Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Handling Engineer to join our team in Aylesbury. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of machinery, including Forklift trucks, Pallet Trucks, Lifting Equipment, Low Level Access, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct thorough examinations of lifting equipment and mobile powered access equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with machinery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime
Requirements:
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing machinery, including Forklift trucks, Pallet Trucks, and Lifting Equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mobile powered access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated work platforms
  • IPAF certification for mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs)
  • LOLER certification for thorough examinations of lifting equipment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • NVQ level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety
  • A valid driver's license
