About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Midwife to join our team in the Maternity Services department at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to women and their families, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide antenatal and postnatal care to women, including routine check-ups, assessments, and interventions as needed.
  2. Work collaboratively with our Community Midwifery teams to provide care to women in their homes and in our community settings.
  3. Participate in the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
  4. Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members, promoting a culture of learning and development within the team.
  5. Engage with women and their families to promote health and wellbeing, providing support and guidance as needed.
