University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate midwife to join our team. As a midwife band 6, you will be responsible for providing safe, clinically effective, and woman-centered care to women, babies, and families across the entire pathway of midwifery care.
Main Responsibilities- Lead by example and develop others to provide high-quality, effective, and compassionate care.
- Offer midwifery advice, support, and manage services, working flexibly across the service within differing models of maternity care.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams within the clinical environment to deliver care to women and babies whose needs are complex.
- Provide midwifery leadership and be accountable for the women, babies, public, and staff experience.
At UHDB, we provide antenatal and postnatal care for 11,500 women each year and support women through low and high-risk care pathways. We have a comprehensive Employee Health & Wellbeing Programme, including a counselling service and a range of activities. Our Trust encourages staff to bring their whole selves to work and has active Staff Networks to identify areas for improvement.
Person Specification- Current and valid NMC pin
- Band 6 Registered Midwife
- Evidence of CPD
- Demonstrable experience as a Band 6 midwife
- Experience working in an acute setting
