Job Summary:
The Nurtury Day Nursery & Pre-School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, staff, and others.
- Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers to enhance their child's development.
- Take on the role of a key person, observing, assessing, and planning for each individual child.
- Have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children.
- Take responsibility for maintaining excellent hygiene, health, and safety practices within the nursery.
- Contribute to planning and providing daily activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance.
- Uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Carry out observations, assessments, and planning in your room, ensuring all children are making progress.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Sector.
- Good standard of English and Maths at GCSE A-C or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a nursery or similar environment.
- Some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children, and parents.
- Able to use written English to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
- Empathy and understanding of children under 5.
- Flexible.
