Entry-Level Educational Assistant

A prominent primary education institution is seeking to recruit an Entry-Level Educational Assistant to join their early years foundation stage team. This role is ideal for individuals who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a qualification in teaching assistance.

Position Overview:

As an Entry-Level Educational Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting educators in lesson preparation and fostering a secure and engaging learning atmosphere for young learners.

Working collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support students during lessons, manage classroom behavior, and promote independent learning.

Utilizing strong communication skills and enthusiasm to aid all students in their academic progress and help them navigate challenges.

Supporting various subjects within the curriculum, including literacy, numeracy, and phonics.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety and accessibility of learning for all students.

Encourage student independence as appropriate.

Prepare the classroom for instructional activities and assist in tidying up afterward.

Support the teacher in managing student behavior and report any issues that arise.

Help students comprehend lesson instructions effectively.

Assist in teaching subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and phonics as directed by the teacher.

Supervise students during lunch breaks.

Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures regarding child protection, equality and diversity, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting any concerns to the appropriate authority.

Position Details:

Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Includes a 30-minute welfare duty

Open to candidates currently enrolled in a TA/CACHE/Childcare qualification program

Compensation: £13.50 per hour

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
