About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Fellow in Engineering to join our team at Plymouth University. As a Teaching Fellow, you will play a key role in enhancing and strengthening our teaching capacity in areas related to Engineering, particularly in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, and robotics, or marine and materials engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to teaching across our suite of foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate Engineering programmes.
  • Provide high-quality teaching at one or more of these levels, including internationalisation activities and widening participation activities.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum content, assessments, and evaluation methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement innovative teaching approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of our research strengths and engage in scholarly activities.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field of Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience of providing high-quality teaching at one or more levels, including internationalisation and widening participation activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Ability to develop and deliver curriculum content, assessments, and evaluation methods.
  • Strong commitment to scholarly activities and the development of our research strengths.
