About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forest School Lead to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a Forest School Lead, you will be responsible for creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the staff team and share knowledge on Forest School
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver a range of Forest School sessions
  • Contribute to a program of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children and the Early Years Framework
  • Use the EY Log to maintain learning journeys, next steps, and observations and to regularly monitor all children's learning journeys
  • Understand key children's culture, first language, and current development plans to identify areas for improvement, working with colleagues to provide a stimulating environment for children to meet emotional, intellectual, and social goals
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and use information learned to support future planning, development, and learning

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Level 3 in Early Years
  • Level 3 Forest School trained is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality care and education
