CNC Machinist Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Purely Recruitment Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring parts are manufactured in line with production plans and quality policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Program and operate equipment such as Bridgeport work centres and mills, Takisawa lathes, Charmilles wire erosion equipment, and power presses.
- Set and operate a wide range of machinery, including centre lathes, drills, spinning lathes, CNC lathes, and centreless grinding equipment.
- Manufacture suitable tooling and jigging to allow maximum efficiency for large production runs.
- Set and operate spitfire lapping machines to achieve customer drawing specifications and work order operation routing detailed requirements.
- Set and operate de-burring, polishing, and drying machines and equipment to achieve customer drawing specifications and work order routing detailed requirements.
- Use and maintain ancillary measuring equipment such as talysurfs and micrometres for testing components.
- Assist in tooling and tip requirements planning and stock control.
- Book all hours that are productive and non-productive to the SAP work order system.
- Capability to understand and use proprietary controls for equipment such as the wire erosion.
- Operate design software such as Delcam and design software programming.
- Experience of machining refractory metals.
- Ability to read and interpret design and customer drawings.
- Advise the section supervisor on a regular basis for requirements of lapping carriers, silicon carbide grit, lapping oil, and lapping plates.
- Carry out all tasks with regard to HES and QA requirements that are relevant to the procedures and section.
- Take part in new employee training as and when requested.
- Report any maintenance or HES concerns to your immediate supervision.
